42.8.4, bone harpoon head with slate point

While the slate point in this example resembles others in the online exhibit, note the differences in the bone or ivory portions of the harpoon heads. This one is decorated with a simple series of engraved lines, as can be seen in the close-ups below. The glue visible in the photos is from a sloppy modern repair.
